Your team already has the intelligence. The question is whether your interaction patterns let it surface.
Think about your last few team meetings. Who talked most? Who stayed quiet? Were decisions actually shaped by everyone, or by a familiar few?
Most teams fall into the same patterns without realizing it. Presentations where only one person speaks. Open discussions that get hijacked by the loudest voice. Brainstorms where half the room mentally checks out after five minutes.
These patterns aren’t anyone’s fault. They’re just the default. And they quietly exclude most of the talent, experience, and ideas that are present in the room.
Liberating Structures replace those defaults with something better. They’re a collection of 33+ interaction patterns, developed by Henri Lipmanowicz and Keith McCandless, that make inclusion practical. Every structure has a clear design: how to set up the space, how to frame the invitation, how to distribute participation, and how to sequence the steps. Simple enough to learn in minutes. Powerful enough to transform how a group works.
In an in-company workshop, your team doesn’t hear a lecture about collaboration. They experience a fundamentally different way of working together. And because every structure is easy to repeat, they can start using what they’ve learned the very next day.
A compact introduction to Liberating Structures for teams that want to experience what's possible before diving deeper.
Your team practices 3 to 4 structures using a real challenge from your own context. In two hours, everyone gets a taste of what it feels like when a conversation truly includes the whole room.
This format works well as a first step. Many teams use it to explore whether a full workshop makes sense for them.
A full day of hands-on practice with a broad selection of Liberating Structures. Enough time to go beyond first impressions and start building real fluency.
Your team experiences 8 to 10 different structures, learns how to combine them into sequences (called "strings"), and works on actual challenges throughout the day. By the afternoon, people are already facilitating structures themselves.
This is the most popular format for teams that want practical skills they can apply the next week.
The deep dive. Two full days of experiencing, practicing, and designing with Liberating Structures. This is how the method was originally meant to be learned: through total immersion.
Your team works through 15 to 20 structures, tackles complex challenges, designs their own strings, and experiences the cumulative effect of sustained inclusive interaction. Something shifts on day two that you simply can't reach in a single day: trust deepens, creativity accelerates, and the group discovers what it's capable of.
Ideal for leadership teams, departments undergoing change, or organizations that want Liberating Structures to become part of their culture.
“Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me and I may not remember. Involve me and I’ll understand.”
Native American proverb, used by Keith McCandless & Henri Lipmanowicz
What every workshop has in common
Regardless of the format, every in-company workshop follows the same principles.

Learning by doing
There are no slideshows. No lectures. Every structure is introduced briefly, then practiced immediately. You learn by experiencing it, reflecting on it, and trying it again. That's how the learning sticks.

Your real challenges, not hypothetical exercises
Before the workshop, we explore what your team is actually working on (in a design session). The structures are then applied to those real situations. This makes the experience relevant from the first minute, and the outcomes immediately useful.

Everyone participates. Everyone.
The structures are designed so that every single person has a role, a voice, and a contribution. This is true for groups of 6 and groups of 60. Even for groups of 600. Quiet people get space. Dominant voices learn to listen. The group discovers what happens when everyone is truly included.

Take it home the same day
Every structure your team practices can be used again tomorrow. In a regular meeting, a project kickoff, a retrospective, a difficult conversation. The skills transfer because the methods are simple, portable, and don't require a professional facilitator.
Who books these workshops?

Liberating Structures work in every sector and at every scale. The format adapts to your context. What stays the same is the principle: include and engage everyone, and better outcomes follow.

About Liberating Structures
Liberating Structures are a growing collection of 33+ interaction patterns created by Henri Lipmanowicz and Keith McCandless. They emerged from decades of work in complexity science, organizational development, and participatory design.
Each structure has five design elements: a structuring invitation, the way space is arranged, how participation is distributed, the configuration of groups, and the sequence of steps and timing. Together these elements shape how people interact. Simple adjustments in these five areas can dramatically change who speaks, who listens, and what becomes possible.
Liberating Structures are used worldwide by teams in healthcare, technology, government, education, non-profits, and corporations. They require no special training to start using. A team that practices five or six structures already has a fundamentally different way of working together.

How many people can participate?
All in‑company workshops can be booked for groups of 8 people up to an unlimited number. We work with fixed prices, so the more people you invite, the better the price per person becomes.
Do participants need any preparation?
No prior knowledge is needed. Liberating Structures are designed to be learned by doing. We may ask participants to bring a real challenge they’re working on, so we can use it during the workshop.
Can the workshop be run online?
The Taster Workshop is fully online. The One‑Day Workshop can be delivered both on‑site and online, but for online versions we recommend splitting the workshop into two separate half‑days. The Two‑Day Immersion works best in person, because the depth of interaction and trust‑building benefits enormously from being in the same room together.
What happens after the workshop?
Every participant leaves with methods they can use immediately. All participants receive the physical LS Workbook with all structures explained. For teams that want continued support, we offer follow-up sessions, coaching, and the IEQ Team Session to measure progress on inclusion and engagement over time.
Is this facilitation training?
It can be, depending on your goals. Some teams book a workshop to solve a specific challenge. Others want to build internal facilitation capacity. We design the workshop around what matters to you. The beauty of Liberating Structures is that you don’t need to be a trained facilitator to use them well.
